Cassidy C is a 3 year old female. She has been otherwise "healthy" up until now, with the exception of the regular childhood colds, flus and childhood illnesses. Her mother had noticed when taking her on playdates to the playground that she just didn't play as hard as some of the other kids her age. She tires more quickly and stops to catch her breath more than the other kids. She took her in to see the pediatrician who noted tachypnea, tachycardia, a murmur, and some pulmonary congestion on auscultation. The pediatrician has referred Cassidy to a cardiologist who is now assessing her. Cassidy is admitted to the Stollery for an echocardiogram (Echo).
