Reading: How Do We Know Ourselves? Curiosities and Marvels of the Human Mind by David G. Myers | Part 2: Who Are We? | pp 63 - 145 Dr. Myers has been a psychology professor for about 50 years and wanted with this book to share examples of how psychology applies to our lives through a total of 40 short essays on a variety of topics that are drawn from psychological research. In Part 2 of this book, he highlights various psychological phenomena that are foundational to how we navigate our social environment and each other. For this assignment, I will FIRST choose three (3) of the essays in Part 2 to read. SECOND, briefly summarize the main idea from each essay in my post (be sure to make it clear for my readers which essays I chose); and THIRD, discuss how the psychological phenomena described in the essays apply to my own understanding of how I relate to my social world.
