Different cultures around the World have different philosophies about dying and how different cultures engage in different customs surrounding the death of a family member. If you are first generation American then your parents probably engage in customs from their native lands. If you have observed some of these customs and traditions then you know what I am referring to.

The idea here is to choose a group of persons either a religious group, a group from a geographic region (or country) or a group that defines itself as part of some tribe, group or historic origin. You can concentrate on burial practices or the customs and traditions surrounding the death of a family member. You also can research the historical and philosophical origins of customs and traditions surrounding the death of a family member. The important part of this assignment is to concentrate on some aspect of some group and the customs and traditions that surround the death of a family member.

The paper should be 3-5 pages long and incorporate three articles from an evidence-based, peer-reviewed journal. You can incorporate also personal experiences or conversations with a relative but it must be properly cited in APA format. The paper must also comply with the 7th edition of the APA manual.
