PART 1

You will include two figures from peer-reviewed sources. The figures need to contain RELEVANT scientific data (charts, statistics, etc.). The figures need to be correctly cited. Each figure is worth 0.75 points.

PART 2

The Values and Biases portion is a one to two paragraph write-up, approximately 400-500 words, explaining how your personal values affected your research process and the interpretation of the data you are using in your StoryMap research. It is intended to allow you to reflect on the internal influences that guided your perspectives and your development of your research topic.

Questions to consider when writing this section:

- How did your values affect your topic choice?
- How did your values affect your interpretation of research?
- Think about how your values might have caused you to choose certain articles and information over others
- What are your methods for avoiding bias?
- For this project, have you experienced any biased sources? What was biased about them?

The pervious work that I did before:

My topic for this term is Affordable and Clean Energy. From my perspective I see the topic is very interesting because it really care about how we could deliver energy for all people around the world. Also, what are requirements to use the energy with more efficiency and less damages for our planet? That all and more relates to make suitability for humanity by affording clean energy for people in the world.

1-V. Kamat, P. (n.d.). FEATURE ARTICLE. Meeting the Clean Energy Demand: Nanostructure Architectures for Solar Energy Conversion.

2-Chu, S., &Majumdar, A. (2012). Opportunities and challenges for a sustainable energy future. Nature.

3-W. Arnold, G. (2011).Proceedings of the IEEE. IEEE.

The author, researchers at the Notre Dame Radiation Laboratory, Department of Chemistry & Biochemistry and Department of Chemical & Bimolecular Engineering in India. He was studying Nanostructure Architectures for Solar Energy Conversion. The author studying three ways to use nanostructures for the design of solar energy, which are Mimicking photosynthesis with donor, semiconductor assisted photo catalysis and nanostructure semiconductor based solar cells. The author has strong reasons to start use solar power rather than non-renewable energy. According to the author Kamat he indicates that the world will run of gasoline and gas by 2050 and by that we will request an additional 10 TW of renewable to keep the current lifestyle. (V.Kamat, n.d.)

Secondly, The authors Steven Chu and ArunMajumdar are working on the US Department of Energy, 1000 Independence Avenue SW, Washington both have thinking to make sustainability in energy. They see that people need to afford clean energy by using the power of sun and hydropower energy generation, and engineering of microbes to produce biofuels. As kamat they, thinking to create and generate clean energy for the future and simply afford that for all people.(Chu&Majumdar, 2012)

Finally, George W. Arnold is working on National Institute of Standards and Technology. Arnold tries the goal of sustainability in energy by using the electric grid. He is trying to use electric power to generate energy through the pervasive application of electronics and microprocessors. Arnold sees that this process will cover countries their needs for energy and keep clean cause it has no bad effects in people and the planet. . (W. Arnold, 2011) Therefore, all three resources and all authors see that afford renewable energy will help the world to sustain the energy for the future and make the world have best lifestyle for the people.
