Social Policy and the Elderly, 1950 - 80" (pages 151 - 167) and the Wednesday June 7 lecture "Pensions and Caregiving for Seniors".

II. In "Chapter 4 The Crisis of the Welfare State: Canadian Perspectives and Critiques" (pages 88 - 114) James R. Rice and Michael J. Prince present critiques of the welfare state by the following groups: three Critiques from the Left, three Critiques from the Right, three Feminist Critiques, three Critiques from Community Groups, and three critiques from Insiders. Select two of these groups and outline the three critiques made by each of those groups. Which one of those group's critiques do you find most convincing and why? III.
