Cults roughly refers to a cohesive social group devoted to beliefs or practices that the surrounding culture considers outside the mainstream, with a notably positive or negative popular perception. Many cults are destructive or suicidal though others, whilst being controversial, do not commit extreme acts. How can you measure the validity of a cult?

Measurement of religiousness. Science can be proven repeatedly but can religion? How can you measure a religion? Use at least two sources in writing this assignment. Address issues that a cult would face such as reliability, face validity, predictive validity, construct validity, history, origin, and the myth behind the religion.
