A television repairman needs a 100 ohm resistor to repair a malfunctioning set. He is temporarily out of resistors of this value. All he has in his toolbox are a 500 ohm resistor and two 250 ohm resistors. How can he obtain the desired resistance using the resistors he has on hand?
