Your task for part 1 is to consider your text reading and review the CDC Developmental Milestones handouts under "Additional Resources" to help you to recall the important milestones (ages 6-8 and 9-11). Based on these handouts and what you read in your text, what are some recommendations you would make for parents of children of these ages when it comes to healthy activities? How can a parent guide their developing child to navigate participation in such activities in a responsible manner (one paragraph required for part 1)? Please make specific connections to your text or another scholarly source to back up your thoughts (you must cite this source).

Part 2: For part 2, consider the various areas your text reviews that might impact a child's success in learning and education. Choose two of the following areas and explain how awareness of these factors can influence a child's educational experiences either positively or negatively: intelligence (including notions of genetic predisposition or inheritance), culture and diversity, gender, giftedness, and/or learning challenges/disorders, socioeconomic status, neurodivergence (one paragraph required for part 2).
