Holistic health practitioners strive to help the body return to this state. They do not encourage the use of drugs during an illness unless absolutely necessary. They allow the body to do what it needs to do to return to wellness or homeostasis. Symptoms may include vomiting, diarrhea, fever, and inflammation. we rarely allow or have time for our body to "run the course" of an illness. Many times we run to the doctor or reach for over the counter medications to alleviate any and all symptoms that our body is having. why you think it is important and beneficial to allow the body to experience and work through illness without suppressing symptoms, and the changes we may need to make in a work, home or school setting to be more supportive of a holistic approach to achieving wellness.
