The solution to Power Factor, Two single-phase loads are connected in parallel across a 415 V, 50 Hz supply. One load is rated 130 kW at a power factor of 0.75 and the other is 74 kW at a power factor of 0.6. Determine the capacitor value required to be placed in parallel with the combined load if the overall power factor is to be improved to 0.85.
