In order to progress a business must never stop striving to become better. That is to say, they must never stop finding new ways to improve practices, motivate employees, and reduce production costs. Job design is the key to this constant polishing of business practices. The main focus in job design is squeezing every last drop of potential out of those responsible for production. This can be achieved by employing strategies to boost determination, motivation, and morale. The employee and his/her level of determination and subsequent job satisfaction are what fuel product quality and efficiency. The result of a proud and motivated workforce is usually increased revenue and market value. Job design is the tool that trims the proverbial fat of a business and propels its production efficiency.
