• Introduction

• The accompanying specification and drawings MBW/1/A, H/1/B and H/1/C show plans and sections of foundations for a process building. You are a member of the taking off / billing team, and you have been allocated the work sections shown below to complete. You should attend class each week as further guidance on the assignment will be given verbally on an ongoing basis .

• Using the drawings and technical information supplied, measure the following new build work:-

• 1. Substructure up to level 7.545 complete including steel stanchions (full height above level 7.545), in accordance with NRM2 and the specification notes, amplifying descriptions where necessary
• 2. All work is to be measured in accordance with NRM2 and referenced
• 3. All measured work to substructures shall be squared, taken forward and abstracted to produce a full Bill of Quantities for this section
• 4. Produce a specification for the concrete to the main slab
• 5. Produce a query and answer sheet to back up any assumptions made

• A Bill of Quantities for the substructure & steelwork
• A specification for the concrete to the main slab
