Instructor Comments: I will be expecting original research and more importantly original writing for this assignment. High Similarity Scores may indicate plagiarism which cannot be graded. If you think it is too high you should consider re-writing what you understood from reading the sources.

I will be looking for explanations of the following:
•The student should be able to provide the steps of obtaining a search warrant. Upon investigation of a crime, evidence is compiled and is presented to an Assistant United Sates Attorney (AUSA). The AUSA prepares an application requesting a magistrate or judge to issue a warrant based upon probable cause presented in the agent's affidavit. The judge, a "neutral and detached magistrate" then decides if probable cause exists that evidence of the alleged offense will be found in the premises specified in the warrant application.
•The student should then discuss the types of searches that do not require warrants (but may or may not require probable cause) such as vehicle searches (pursuant to the vehicle exception), and administrative searches.
•Students must support and provide examples and justifications in answering the questions through academic or real-life criminal justice findings focused on criminal justice subjects.
•All cited material must be in APA style.
