The mean diameter of the rotor of an axial flow compressoris 0.5 m and it rotates at 15000 rpm. The velocity of flow is 220 m/s and is constant. Thevelocity of whirl at inlet is 80 m/s. The inlet temperature and pressure are300K and 1 bar respectively. The stage efficiency is 0.88. The pressure ratiothrough the stage is 1.5. Calculate the (i) fluid deflection angle, (ii) power input,and (iii) degree of reaction.
