1. An m1 = 8.0 kg box lies on a frictionless table, and is attached to a m2 = 5.0 kg box by a light cord passing over a rotating pulley. The pulley has a mass of 3.6 kg and a radius of 0.40 m. Just as the system is released, find:

(i) the linear acceleration of the masses
