Consider a parallel plate capacitor with plates of size 2 cm times 2 cm, with a distance of 2 mm between the plates. Each plate carries a charge of +/- 1 nC. At the midpoint between the two plates, a proton and an electron are released from rest (not at the same time),

a) Calculate the speed with which the proton hits the negative plate.

b) Calculate the speed with which the electron hits the positive plate.
