A uniform U-tube is partially filled with water (density 1.00 g/cm3 ). Oil (density 0.875 g/cm3 ) is poured into the left arm until there is a 4 cm gap between the two levels. A second oil is then poured into the right arm until the two levels are even. A small object (density 0.640 g/cm3 ) is dropped into the second column of oil and it is found to float with 20.0% of its volume above the surface. Atmospheric pressure = 1.013 x 10^5 Pa.

a) find the density of the second oil

B) find the height of the first column of oil

c) Find the pressure at the oil/water interface in the left arm

d) find the height of the second column of oil( after the object is removed).

e) Find the pressure at the oil/water interface in the right arm.
