The voltage across a resistor is equal to the product of the current through the resistor and the resistance of the resistor. When two resistors are connected in series the same current passes through them. If a 10 ? resistor is connected in series with a 50 ? resistor and a current of 100 milliamps passes through them when a battery is connected, what are the voltages across each of these resistors? What is the potential difference of the battery?
