For a deck, supports of length 3.25 m are proposed to be built from aluminum with a Young's modulus of 72 GPa and a yield stress of 480 MPa. A cylindrical design is proposed with outer diameter d = 100 mm and wall thickness t to be specified. If the design specs require that each column support a load of 100 kN with a safety factor of 3, find the necessary column thickness t.
