Draw the circuit with the following criteria; double acting cylinder used for broaching holes into metal plates. The cylinder is 24" long mounted vertically, pushing down. It takes 20,000lbs of force to broach the metal. The cylinder has a 5in bore and a 2in cylinder rod. The system is built with a fixed displacement pump with a displacement of 1.3 CI/REV and a prime mover that turns it at 1725RPM. The cylinder is controlled by a 4/3way solenoid operated, spring centered DCV. You choose the correct center condition. What will the system relief have to be set for? What will be the time to extend and the time to retract? What is the minimum horsepower required by the prime mover.
