In the last seconds of the championship basketball game, a 7 ft center's team is down by 2 points. He must make a 3 point shot to win the game. He is standing on the 3 point shot line, 7.24 meters from the center axis of the basket, which is 3.05 m above the floor of the gym. His jump shot originates level with the basket and he shoots the ball with an initial velocity of 10 m/s. Find the highest trajectory that the ball can travel to land in the middle of the basket without hitting the backboard.
