Five lbm of water 60 degree F is contained in a vertical cylinder by a frictionless piston of a mass such that the pressure of the water is 100lbf/in^2. Heat is transferred slowly to the water, causing the piston to rise until it reaches the stops, at which point the volume inside the cylinder is 15ft^3. More heat is transferred to the water until it exists as a saturated vapor. a) Show the process on a T-V diagram, b) Find the final pressure in the cylinder, c) Determine the heat transferred and the work done from the beginning to the end.
