A dipole is centered at the origin and has charges q and -q located at z=l/2 and z=-l/2, respectively. Find the electric field at position r along the z axis and also at position r along the x-axis (or anywhere at radius r in the xy plane). Do this by writing down the fields from the two charges and then adding them, making suitable approximations in the r>>l limit.
