The angle subtended by the moon's diameter at a point on the earth is about 0.524° (Figure). Use this and the fact that the moon is about 384 Mm away to find the diameter of the moon. (The angle subtended by the moon ? is approximately D/rm, where D is the diameter of the moon and rm is the distance to the moon.)
