A buck converter delivers 5V into a 1 Ω load, with a 12 V battery supply. Voltage ripple in the converter output is negligible. The switching period is 24 μs.

(b) Assuming ideal components, and continuous mode operation, find the switch duty-cycle.

(c) Assuming ideal components, find the converter inductance for a 20% current ripple.

(d) It is later determined that the converter inductance (same as in part c) has a winding resistance of 0.2 Ω. What value switch duty-cycle is required to maintain the output at 5 V?

(e) In addition to the inductor winding resistance, it is determined that the battery can be modeled as an ideal 12 V source with source resistance of 0.4 Ω

(i) What value switch duty cycle is required to maintain the output at 5 V?
