Question

Do some research and find the Code of Ethics for an organization you belong to and are familiar with, or a professional organization related to one of your industries (i.e., graphic design, interior design, etc.). You may visit the library, do your research online, or both. Keep a copy of the original code in case your instructor requests it for comparison and evaluative purposes.

Answer the following questions and submit them in Omnivox.

1. In your own words, list the main moral prescriptions-the directions on how to live a moral life-included in that code, and write in between 2-3 additions as you see fit.

2. Address the idea that this Code is meant to bridge the gap between "what is" and "what ought to be." How does the Code attempt to define professional practices and behaviour? What moral positions does it seem to assume or dictate?

3. A Code of Ethics can help provide a sense of identity and self-awareness for a group, profession, or business.
