A uniformly distributed load q (force per unit length) is exerted on a simply supported beam whose left end is placed on an edge and whose right end is on another edge riding a roller (Fig. P3.2). As a result, the beam does not generate moments at both ends or any axial force. Find the beam deflection at x from the left end.
