A transmission line is used to send power over a distance of 4.0 kilometer through a copper power line of 1.0Ω/km. The 240 Vrms supply has an internal resistance of 50Ω.

a) The voltage is stepped up to 66 kV by a near-ideal transformer. Determine what turns ratio is required?

b) Find the maximum power that can be supplied from the source?
