Question

Describe an experiment, not discussed in class or in the book (and not analogous to something from class or the book; i.e., don't just change some minor detail). Specifically, list the IV (independent variable) and its levels, and the DV (dependent variable). Choose an IV with just two levels and a quantitative DV (not a categorical DV, like better / worse or lived / died, but something more continuous, like reduction in symptom severity).

You do not need to find an existing experiment online and write about it. Feel free to invent your own experiment, but choose something that makes sense as a psychological experiment to run on people. So, your DV should correspond to a behavior, feeling, ability, etc. Your IV should establish categories of people. You can look online at typical psychological experiments to get ideas.

Describe all of the ways your experiment can turn out (think about this), not just the way you expect it to turn out.
