Question

The Federal Reserve's monetary policy has had many changes over the years. For example, when you think of investments in today's economy, it can be hard for start up companies. Not only are interest rates through the roof but supplies and labor are at an all-time high. For those who are looking to invest in commercial property, they must really consider their plans because interest rates have nearly doubled over the last 1-2 years. This has caused many people to get in over their heads with high mortgage payments that they cannot truly afford. I would say that the Federal Reserve's countercyclical monetary policies have not been effective. With interest rates at an all-time high, the Federal Reserve has not done its due diligence in trying to steer the economy in the right direction. Instead, it seems that the Feds are trying to make more money and more money at the expense of the consumer. Overall, it is important for individuals to know where they stand in today's economy and how it affects them during their daily lives.
