Additional Artifacts: 300 words minimum for each, but the total number of artifacts is up to you. You need to turn in a minimum of 1, but a maximum of 3 artifacts. Here's what you can choose from, and you can do any combination of these options:

• A thoroughly revised, extended exploration of one of the writing prompts from class this semester. (You would turn in both your original response and this new one)
• An entirely new response to one or any of the articles read or issues covered in class (including those without an actual response prompt), examined in greater depth.
• A reflective piece, in which you consider one of the past major written assignments and discuss what changes you might make to improve it or revise it.
• A flash-fiction piece, in which you take half (2 elements) of one of the creative writing prompts not used for your short story and write a brief, limited narrative from it.
• A reflective piece, in which you think back over the entire scope of the semester and explain to me what you think are some key things you'll be taking away from this course.
• Again, a reflective piece, but one in which you explain why you think certain elements of American popular culture are worthy of being studied and analyzed at this level.

Again, you need to complete at least 1, but a maximum of 3. This part of the final is worth 15 points. That being said, the 15 points will vary from person to person. If you only complete 1 artifact, then that's worth the entire 15 points (in other words, you have placed all your eggs in one basket). If you complete 3, they're each worth 5, etc
