Background:

Organizations are implementing AI across all core business processes. According to Vailshery (2022), most respondents to a global survey, expected artificial intelligence (AI) to transform their organization and industry in the next one to three years - as of 2020.As described in the text, AI includes or incorporates machine learning, robotics, artificial neural networks,natural language programming and intelligent agents.

Through AI, organizations are using data-driven decision-making to enhance performance, workforce, and customer experiences.How does your discipline (your major) incorporate AI to improve the efficiency and/or competitive advantage within an organization? Are you in finance? What are uses of AI in finance? Are you in HR? erAre you in Marketing, in Accounting? How is AI software being used in your business discipline?

For this assignment, explore the implementation of AI technology within your field and within a specific organization. Find an example and relate that example to one of the categories of AI explained in the text.

Task

Investigate the use of AI in your field/industry. Describe a specific use of AI software that supports your field within an organization - what does it do to support organizational decision-making or improve organizational performance? LINK the AI application to one of the specific categories described in your text, i.e., does it rely on machine learning, robotics, artificial neural networks, natural language programming or intelligent agents.

Basically, you provide an example that tells how AI is used. For example, "My field is health care management and through an internet searchI discovered that the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) is using AI, machine learning and/or predictive analytics to improve outcomes. Health centers are able to capture livestreaming data from electronic health records (EHRs) and real-time telemetry instruments in the intensive care unit and from this data. Another specific example mentions that the precision medicine company Human Longevity combined sequencing and whole-body MRI data sets to build a classifier that used specific biomarkers to identify dementia symptoms in patients years ahead of more standard diagnostics. (Databricks, 2021.) Machine learning is a subset of AI and is a process and procedure by which knowledge is gained through experience - the computer learns without explicit programming (Bidgoli, 2021, p.335). Thus, the concepts of AI, machine learning and deep learning are changing healthcare and companies such as Databricks that provide the software.". Note I provide two examples and the category - machine learning, and the source of data. I could have provided an example that uses intelligent agents or natural language processing just as easily. I also provided citations in the text and the reference is provided below.
