Professional Issues in IS Ethics and Practice

This assessment will be completed in groups of 4 students. Each group will facilitate a class discussion based on a unique topic. Please refer to the list of topics at the end of this file to identify your assigned topic.

Starting from Week 5, each group will lead a facilitation session in class based on their selected topic. Prior to the session, each group member should identify and prepare key issues, concepts, or discussion points relevant to the topic. These will be used to initiate and guide an engaging class discussion.

At the end of the session, the group facilitator will provide a summary of the key ideas and points discussed by the class.

The main challenge of this task is to act as a facilitator, encouraging active participation and thoughtful discussion rather than simply presenting information. Students are encouraged to explore facilitation techniques that promote interaction, critical thinking, and group engagement. These might include open-ended questions, scenarios, short activities, or collaborative tasks. A combination of methods can be used to create an effective and engaging session.
