A RC helicopter is placed on a circular platform that can rotate freely about its center axis.

i) Explain with a diagram what forces are acting on the helicopter as it is sitting on the platform.

ii) The helicopter has two helices, a large one mounted on its top with a vertical axis, and a smaller one mounted on its tail with a horizontal axis. The large helix is turned on to some low speed, describe what happens and why the helicopter is still sitting on the platform.

iii) The small helix is then turned on, why? Explain with a diagram what forces are involved.

iv) What do you do to lift the helicopter up, explain what is the agent that lifts it up, what Newton's Law is in action. Draw a diagram of forces.

v) Describe the motion of the helicopter from when it is leaving the platform till the hovering height, describe with a diagram the forces involved at the hovering height.

vi) From the hovering height how does it move forward, explain with a diagram the forces that make it happen.
