Reference: This lesson will help build upon student's mathematical skills by reinforcing rote counting, addition, and subtraction, and understanding of coin value and time. The goal is to build upon student's physical skills, increase their understanding of basic shapes, and build their abilities to respond to requests and make choices. The focus of this lesson is to continue supporting students' language development and communication skills. This will be done using symbols, pictures, and communication boards, as well as reinforcing students' ability to read and understand sight words, sound out unfamiliar words, and read independently.
Goals:
Students will be able to add and subtract numbers up to 20 with 80% accuracy.
Students will be able to match digital times to those on the class schedule with 85% accuracy.
Students will be able to point to basic shapes (square, circle, triangle) when asked with 75% accuracy.
Students will be able to point to numbers 1-10 on a number line with physical assist as the teacher rote counts with 80% accuracy.
