Description - Explain what you see as the key issues in your nominated area(s), choose from: creative education; psychology, sociology and wellbeing in arts education; foregrounding Indigenous histories, knowledges and cultures in arts education; arts education in a time of crisis. You will name your focus(foci) of investigation within your nominated area and articulate your developing synthesis and understanding of the current debates, theory, research and/or frameworks in the arts and international arts education related to this area.
There must be at least five papers/chapters minimum referenced to support your discussion. Three must come from the suggested module readings and 1-2 papers/resources from your own investigations that relate to creative education; psychology, sociology and wellbeing in arts education; embedding Indigenous histories, knowledges and cultures in arts education; arts education in a time of crisis.
Reflective writing is more personal and related to you as the author of the narrative than general academic writing. In reflective writing, it is common to use the first person ('I' and 'we') to describe your feelings and thoughts, and what affected them. At the same time, a critical reflection should include a theoretical position and critical engagement with the bodies of literature and knowledge that contribute to, and support, your thinking that may help to guide an action plan for the future.
