"The Beatitudes depict the countenance of Jesus Christ and portray his charity...they shed light on the actions and attitudes characteristic of the Christian life." (Catechism of the Catholic Church, 1717).

Using the Beatitudes as a reference, make a verbal portrait of Christ. Describe Him to someone who has no idea who He is and in a way that they would make them want to know Him. Feel free to be creative as you would like in the style of your verbal portrait. Be sure to take some time to read and reflect on the Beatitudes (Matthew 5:3-12) before beginning the portrait.
