Directions

This assignment is about putting together what you did in your previous three written assignments and showing it through effective data visualization. You will produce an infographic through the tool of your choice to show the findings of your Problem Definition, Policy Alternatives and Policy Solutions papers.

In addition to your infographic, you will produce a document (methodology file) where you briefly explain your selection of data for your infographic and report your data sources.

Infographic requirements

Include a very brief (max two-three lines of text) description of the policy problem. Show the data to convince the reader that it is a problem.

Include a very brief description of your best policy solution.

Show the data that supports your solution.

If available, show the best piece of data that goes against your preferred solution.

Include the references to your source at the bottom of the infographic.

Please export your infographic to a PDF, JPG or PNG file and upload it to Canvas.

Methodology requirements

Explain the process behind your selection of sources: the ones you picked, the ones you left out of your infographic and why. Remember: 4 (four) minimum sources.

Explain why you think they are reliable or, if you think they are somewhat biased, explain what kind of bias they can have.

Include a full list of the sources you have considered (data sources list), split between the ones you included in the infographic file and the ones you did NOT include in it.

Format

Methodology file: you are free to choose your font, spacing and other features of formatting. Your only constraint is a one-inch margin minimum throughout your document.

Length (methodology file): 500 words (± 10%).
