Please choose an interpersonal relationship to discuss in a four- to six-page paper. You may choose a relationship of which you are part (your boy/girl friend, parent, sibling, best friend, grandparent, roommate, a sibling and their spouse, two married or dating friends, etc.) or one that you have observed over a long period of time.

Using concepts from this class, you will analyze this relationship through various lenses (all of which are articulated in our text):

Styles of conflict; conflict management; stages of a relationship; listening; communication styles; type of interpersonal relationships; listening; communication styles; type of interpersonal relationships; theories of interpersonal communication and relationships.

You will need to use a combination of the above concepts in your papers.

You will use a minimum of three research sources, which must be cited in the paper. One source may be our text.

This paper will be done in APA 6th style. For more information on this style, you may visit apapstyles.org or visit with a reference librarian on the second floor of the MC library. Another helpful APA Style tool is the Owl Purdue website, which offers abstract details, reference page information, in-text citation tips, paper examples, and other useful APA Style guidance.
