• Discuss the specific child and her problem or reason for referral. Consider her characteristics, caregiving and socio-economic and socio-cultural circumstances in your discussion.

• Explain the rationale for testing in this specific situation (i.e. why is it important to administer a psychological assessment test or tests and how would the results be used?).

• Explain how one would provide for this child during the administration of the assessment measure.

• Discuss the ethical considerations that apply when working with children. In the present scenario, there were good assessment practices and some potentially unethical assessment practices. Can you identify these?

• When interpreting the results to assess a child's level of development, information from various sources would be considered. Discuss who one would involve in this regard and what information one would seek in the case of this child. Also consider the socio-economic and socio-cultural factors that could have affected the results.

• You do not have the test results, but make a few tentative treatment recommendations based on the information you have been given about the child and her development.
