1) Corals are actually a combination of two organisms: a simple animal and a photosynthetic dinoflagellate. The two have a symbiotic mutualism that enables corals to build large colonies. Explain what each of the two organisms contributes and gains in the symbiotic relationship 2) Why do we call it coral "bleaching?" Explain the process of coral bleaching and why the end result is a white, dead coral skeleton.
