Process/Description

For this project, you will apply the concepts and best practices learned throughout the quarter. You are to research and select a current event/issue facing the healthcare industry. You are to analyze this issue as though you were a healthcare manager in a decision-making capacity.

Deliverables

Describe in detail the current event or issue you have researched. (Who, what, why, when, where, how). Provide background information.

Demonstrate the management concepts learned in class by explaining how you, as a healthcare manager, would go about finding a solution for this issue. Include any best practices you have observed or read about.

You may need to find what has been done before (if any) to address this issue or if there is any research or commentary on the topic. You would need to conduct a literature review and review relevant research. I strongly recommend to do this. It is always important to find if the issue, problem, or gap has been addressed or discussed about, look for lessons learned, best practices or perhaps there is still a gap.

Describe at least 2 possible solutions to the issue. In your description include any barriers you might be faced with, who would be involved in the solution, what resources you might need etc.
