We always hear that starchy foods are a great source of nutrition because the glucose molecules that are contained within the starch can be used for energy. People often tell you to eat starchy foods prior to an athletic event. Cellulose (or fiber) is also made of many glucose molecules. Why don't people tell you to eat lots of cellulose prior to an athletic event? Make sure your answer explains the chemical difference between starch and cellulose.
