Customer Company owned and operated an underground storage tank that leaked 3,000 gallons of gasolene into the ground. The company was owned by the Johnson family. After the leak, the state environmental agency notified the Johnsons , who hired a firm to cleanup the spill. However, the clean up did not occur immediately, and the state continued to send notices to the James Johnson, the president, warning him that the company was violating federal and state environmental laws. He passed those notices on to the clean up firm, but still nothing was done. The state eventually filed criminal charges against James Johnson. Decide the case
