The client is a 40-year-old African American male who just got out of the army after serving for 20 years. and just got divorced by his wife. He is also a student taking a PhD program. He is seeking help because he is having difficulties sleeping at night, stepping into crowds, finding a job as a civilian and integrating into a civilian life. He also makes mention of having to drink plenty of alcohol to cope all of which are affecting his education.
