All cells are bathed in an aqueous environment. This is known as the Extracellular Fluid (Interstitial fluid). There is an exchange of materials between the extracellular fluid (ECF) and the fluid within the cell (Intracellular Fluid). Explain how this exchange of materials helps support homeostasis within the cell, and allows for life functions within the cell.
