Have you ever asked yourself why science seems so dry? So unapproachable? Has this made you feel like science is boring and not for you? Have you ever thought about ways to spice science up? To make it interesting to everyone? Well, I have. In my professional experience I have worked in diverse positions ranging from the US EPA to education where I have had to find ways to communicate complex topics to a more general population. One of my favorite ways to do this is to get creative, both inside and outside of the box. In the past, my students and I have examined artwork, music, poetry, dance, film, and more, all in the interest of trying to make science easier to understand, more approachable, and fun.
