1) Select ONE animal species. Your goal is to explain the way where an evolutionary change might happens for a particular characteristic (trait) of the population of that species as a result of natural selection.
The characteristic (trait) could be something such as coloration pattern, length of limbs, size of teeth or beak, or any measurable trait that is inherited.
The organism you select should be a real one however the evolutionary change in a trait which you explain can be real or fiction.
In your own words,
a) Describe how the change in this trait takes place. You will explain the trait within the population at starting point and then what the trait will look like at the later time, as a result of natural selection.
b) Assure to explain the process through which the changes take place. Explain the selective pressure? Describe why change might confer more fitness to the particular environment?
