Based on my agency description below, evaluate your own commitment to clients and diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) within that context, using the Price (2020) article as inspiration. My agency, Sandstone Care, provides treatment for age-specific mental health and substance use. Sandstone focuses on helping teens, young adults, and their families (if applicable) overcome challenges with substance use, addiction, and mental health conditions. Although Sandstone Care serves both male and female clients, sexual orientation is not a factor in creating the IOP and DD groups. The headquarters are in Denver, CO, where I am located. However, Sandstone has multiple locations throughout Colorado, Illinois, Maryland, and Virginia. I work specifically with young adults between the ages of 18 and 30. Most of our clients are white, middle-class, educated individuals. In my specific group, we have only had one male in the group thus far. We also ask for and respect our clients' pronouns. The overall feel of the group is casual, so I try to dress business casual to differentiate myself a bit but also fit into that relaxed atmosphere.
