The gas in a cylindrical container has a pressure of 1.0 x 105 Pa and is at room temperature (293 K). Apiston (a movable wall) at one end of the container is thenadjusted so that the volume is reduced by a factor of four, and it is found that the pressure increases by afactor of seven. What is the final temperature of the gas?
